Hulu Plus for Android is available now… for six devices
The good news is that Hulu Plus for Android is on the market, but the bad news is that you may not be able to install it yet. The official Hulu Blog has just been updated with news that six phones — Nexus One, Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid II, Motorola Droid X, and the Motorola Atrix — are on the compatible list with “additional device announcements” due later in the year. While there’s some crossover with the list of Netflix-compatible devices, it’s hardly complete and many flagship phones are still missing. Here’s hoping the tweakers can work their magic on that apk and get it running for the rest of us, whether we’re shelling out $7.99 a month or just want to leech some Chappelle’s Show eps on a free one week trial. If you can’t get it running yourself, check out a quick video demo embedded after the break.
[Thanks, Tyler, Isaac]

Kogan’s Agora Internet TV Portal promises Android Market access, our LCDs remain skeptical
Believe it or not, we’re still rooting for Ruslan Kogan and the rest of his Aussie compatriots, but the company’s announcement today of an Android 2.2 set-top TV box with full Market access is, as usual, equal parts intriguing and unbelievable. The Kogan Agora Internet TV Portal: Powered by Android is priced at A$149 with a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor from Samsung, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of flash storage, HDMI output and three USB ports for external storage, that it claims will bring the full internet — including everyone’s favorite Angry Birds – to your TV screen. According to the sales page it’s expected to ship May 27th to anywhere you like, as long as it’s in Australia or the UK. We’ll mark our calendars to see if it beats official Google TV boxes to Market access in the living room (we’re still waiting for the TV shown off last year), but in the meantime check after the break for a press release with more details on this box, a familiar looking 7-inch tablet that also claims access to the Market’s thousands of apps and a couple of netbooks. Finally, we spotted a video from ARM fan Charbax checking out what could be the OEM version of the TV box at CeBIT, so that’s included after the break as well.

INQ Cloud Touch gets priced in the UK, still MIA in the USA
We’ve had an affinity for INQ’s Cloud Touch since we Poked and prodded the little device back in February, and now thanks to Carphone Warehouse we’ve got the all important pricetag to accompany the specs. Starting April 6, you’ll be able to pick up the Facebook-ified device in the UK completely SIM-free for £300, or about $486. Not a bad deal for a 3.5-inch Android 2.2 handset with a 5-megapixel shooter and a custom Facebook homescreen. Of course, it lacks the Facebook Buttons of HTC’s offerings, but if you simply can’t wait to be the first person on the block with a Facebook phone you should definitely give the Cloud Touch a peek.

Samsung Epic 4G’s Froyo update now available, no need to wait for OTA
Samsung apparently decided it’s made Epic 4G owners wait long enough and beat Sprint’s planned OTA release schedule to the punch by a few hours, posting the EB13 build that will update their phones to Froyo on its support website. Click the source link for a .exe to run from a connected PC and upgrade over USB (for rooted and unrooted devices alike, running any earlier software build) or select the Mac link for an update.zip file that can be run directly from the phone’s SD card (stock devices running the most recent DI18 build only.) You’ll be restoring the device to a blank slate with the former so make sure you’ve backed up any important SMS’s beforehand. So far impressions from early upgraders on XDA-Developers suggest a noticeable performance boost, but other forum posts indicate some pesky bugs like Time Without Service battery drain are still hanging around, peep the full release notes after the break.

Samsung’s U.S. Galaxy S pages showing Froyo, but updates still missing
Update: And the pages once again say Android 2.1. Thanks, Joel!
Original: That supposed Dec. 26 mark for the Sprint to roll out Froyo for Epic 4G has come and gone — no great surprise there — but Samsung’s stirring the pot a bit. The U.S. product pages for the Epic 4G, Vibrant and Fascinate are all showing the phones running Android 2.2. A typo? Perhaps. The Captivate and Continuum are shown as sporting Android 2.1 still.
Now you gotta remember, Samsung has a less-than-stellar reputation with this whole update thing. But we have to hold out hope that the updates are getting ready to roll. If you see the update hitting your phone, be sure to head into the forums and spread some epic news. [Samsung, Vibrant product page, Epic 4G product page, Fascinate product page] Thanks to everyone who sent these in

While most people are anxious and can’t wait for Gingerbread, some people are just getting Froyo now. HTC’s Facebook Fan Page is all a buzz — folks in the Europe are confirming that the HTC Legend on Vodafone is finally getting Froyo. If you’re overseas, and haven’t receieved a notification yet — be patient, you’ll get it soon. [Facebook via Pocket-lint] Thanks, Sven S!

Dell Streak to receive Froyo — rollout begins in the UK by month’s end
As the rest of the world is waiting very (im)patiently for an official Gingerbread announcement, Dell Home UK issued a statement via Facebook yesterday claiming FroYo (Android 2.2) will be making the rounds to their premiere five-inch Android tablet. They didn’t mention any specific dates, however, they did assure Streak owners that it would reach their fingertips by the end of November. Dell also noted that depending on your particular hardware build, you actually may not see FroYo on your Streak by the end of the month, but rest assured, you will be notification directly on your Streak when the update is ready.
The much anticipated FroYo update will begin in the UK, and work its way to other regions in the following weeks. [via AndroidOS]

Froyo available to Desire users on Virgin finally
After a long wait, Virgin Media customers sporting the HTC Desire will now start to receive Android 2.2 (Froyo). The OTA update will be gradually pushed out, so if you don’t receive it immediatly, give it time.
Here’s the announcement:
HTC Desire Android 2.2 Froyo Released 11/11/10
Hi I can confirm that we’ve started sending out the Froyo update as of 9am this morning, however this is only for customers on our Virgin specific firmware (1.23.351.1). Customers on the original firmware (1.15.405.4) will need an update to the 1.23.351.1 firmware first before they can install the Froyo update, but we expect this should be available in the next few days. I’ll post another update here once it goes live.
This is an FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) update which means that you will be prompted to download the update on their handset. We strongly recommend that you use a Wi-Fi connection to download the update. You’ll be asked if you want to back up your handset first, and we recommend this as well.
It has been a long wait, but Virgin customers will now be able to enjoy Froyo in all it’s yumminess. [via EuroDroid]

HTC Legend prepping for dessert — gets ready for Froyo
Us Android users will never turn down a free dessert. We’ve had cupcakes, donuts, eclairs, and now, as most of us are waiting for some warm Gingerbread, HTC Legend users can add a nice helping of Froyo to their menu.
HTC announced via its Facebook page that users with an unbranded HTC Legend can expect the update in the coming weeks. However, due to the prolonged software approval process each carrier must administer, folks with a carrier branded phone will have to wait just a bit longer (per usual).
Nothing leaves us geeks more restless than the announcement of an imminent software update. Evidenced by user Arnoldthepotter’s thread in our forums almost two months ago, where he began the countdown to the HTC Legend Froyo update. Well, Arnoldthepotter, if you’re reading, your countdown just got a lot shorter. [HTC Facebook]
