The Droid Incredible by HTC is, well — nothing short of incredible (sorry, I just had to). What’s not incredible is the meager battery life, with the stock 1300mAh power plant. Confirmed: Droid Incredible Froyo Update rolls out today
We’d heard and hoped that the Droid Incredible would start seeing the Froyo update today and indeed, Verizon has confirmed via Twitter that it indeed should start happening soon. Makes sense, since Verizon is already advertising Froyo as a feature for the DInc.
In addition to the Android 2.2 goodness, the update will bring Flash, mobile hotspot support, and 720p video recording. Verizon also says it will ‘be posted to the VZW site’ – we presume they refer to placing instructions on this page, but if you’re reading this we suspect the steps in an OTA update are something you can figure out fairly easily.

Droid Incredible’s Sept. 1 Froyo rumor a bust, but is the RUU out there already?
ROM legend Conflipper may be in retirement, but that doesn’t mean there’s not still magic to be had, as a new ROM for the Droid Incredible has surfaced, and guess what — it purportedly is Android 2.2 Froyo. And that’s nice to see, as the Sept. 1 rumor that Droid-Life started late last night was quickly retracted (don’t say we didn’t warn you).

Droid Incredible Froyo update not coming today, Verizon says on Twitter
Look, we’ve told you guys about rumors before. Especially unsourced rumors. They’re a dime a dozen. And Mashable’s rumor that the Droid Incredible would get Android 2.2 today is just another one of those bad rumors.
