Autonome Concept Shows Us Cable-Free Charging Solution For Smartphones
It goes without saying that battery life is a huge concern in the Android space, where juice hungry devices gobble up mAh’s faster than data on Verizon’s LTE. Now, there have been plenty of ideas to help deal with this hard pressing issue, everything from extended batteries, solar powered devices, to the very distant future of devices that can charge themselves. But this concept design from Francois Rybarczyk deals with the hassle of carrying a charger around with you, especially when we don’t always carry around purses or “murses” (man-purses) to stash them in

Samsung Galaxy Note Super Bowl Ad: Hot or Not?
A few weeks back, we told you guys about how Samsung was attempting to gain an “Apple like” following with their products and yesterday’s Super Bowl ad was the climax of that, giving us a magnificently showy conclusion to the “The Next Big Thing” ad campaign. The video showcased Apple fanboys/girls who — after taking a look at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note — finally had enough of their prison that was the iPhone X line, waiting around for the next best thing when it was already here. These brand new Samsung converts skipped and danced their way out of Apple’s line/jail and into the bright wonderful streets of Samsung’s smartphone lineup with, none other than The Darkness, providing vocals for what even “the barrista” called an over the top ad spot.
[UPDATE: Google responds] Verizon Galaxy Nexus, other CDMA devices, no longer listed with Google developer support
UPDATE: The Android Team’s Dan Morrill has posted an explanation for the removal of the Galaxy Nexus and other CDMA devices from the official developer support page. This has nothing to do with Google Wallet (we never thought it did) and everything to do with the way the Android code is compiled for CDMA devices.
Android vs iOS – Which Is Really More Stable? New Data May Surprise You
OS stability has always been a big concern when choosing which device you’re going to upgrade to. When it comes to the battle between Android and iOS, Apple fanboys would have you believe that their mobile OS is a smooth and steady as an ocean liner, but as history has taught us, some titans — sink. In my talks with friends and acquaintances on why they’ve chosen iOS over Android, I’ve heard everything from, “It just works,” to the argument that “Android is just too fragmented,” or “Apps constantly force close.” Well, then you would assume that data gathered from Crittercism — a research startup that analyzes mobile app crashes — would show that iOS suffers from fewer, if any, app crashes when compared to Android.

Samsung Denied Second 3G Patent Claim Win in Germany
Judge Andreas Voss works quickly, no? It was only one week ago that the judge ruled in Apple’s favor regarding a 3G patent claim from Samsung, and the second of Samsung’s five claims has been denied this morning. Florian Mueller, who reportedly attended the sessions, says that the judge’s two rulings may have been based more on the validity or infringement of the patent and mentions that Samsung’s three other 3G claims and two other software experience claims may still have a chance
