Ford SYNC AppLink gets rolling in ten new models, still just three apps deep
Back when we gave Ford’s SYNC AppLink a test drive in that little green Fiesta, we got word that the Mustang was next in line to receive the service. Well, earlier this year, the auto outfit Linked-up the Mustang and now it’s rolling out the application for 10 new 2012 models, including the F-150, Fusion (Hybrid and otherwise), Super Duty, and Expedition. It also says it’s got a slew of developers lining up to bring hands-free control of their apps to AppLink. For now, though, no matter which SYNC-enabled beast you boast, or which OS you’re rocking (BlackBerry OS, iOS, or Android), you’ll be riding dirty with just two linked apps at most. Full PR after the break.

HTC Paradise spotted – again – in FCC database sporting support for AT&T 3G
The last time we got a look at the HTC Paradise it was due to it being posted on Craigslist alongside the HTC Fiesta. And this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this phone at the FCC — it showed up there way back in April. This time though, it’s got a name, is turned on and definitely has HTC Sense on board. That’s not a sure sign that the device will ever be released though, as it still remains unannounced by HTC or AT&T, and Phonescoop suggests it’s been canceled in favor of other devices. Want to get your hands on unreleased Android phones? Check Craigslist
The HTC Paradise and Fiesta aren’t on the tip of anyone’s tongues, because they haven’t been released or even rumored to be released yet. That didn’t stop someone from placing them both on Craigslist as "AT&T sample" phones, and thankfully someone with a camera and internet access scooped them right up. The Paradise (pictured above) sounds much like the PC70110, an HTC slider that passed through the FCC back in April. The Fiesta has little to no resemblance to anything we’ve heard of, and it’s not even listed in the codename leaks we saw from a ROM back in December. Based on looks and form factor alone, it appears to be an early version of the Aria, but thats pure speculation on my part.
After all is said and done, it’s a great score for the fellow that got them, and AT&T could certainly use a qwerty Android phone besides the Backflip. Just lose the blue, please. You can check out a pic of the Fiesta after the jump. [CellPassion via Engadget]

Control apps by voice? Ford does (or will in 2011)

Welcome to the future, citizen (pro tip: pass on the soylent green). Ford recently announced that it’s 2011 Fiesta will launch with SYNC AppLink. I’m just going to let you read it in their own words here -
Ford will first offer SYNC® AppLink, a downloadable software program, on the 2011 Fiesta, allowing owners to access and control Android™ and BlackBerry® smartphone apps with voice commands and vehicle controls
Voice control your apps via bluetooth. BOO-YAH.
Pandora, Stitcher and OpenBeak are the first SYNC-enabled apps, but Ford has already set up a developers site (SYNCmyride) so it looks like they mean business. Now who will be the first to develop a dialer app to fill that painful gap for lucky Ford drivers?
Follow the break for the full presser. [via PR Newswire]
