Accessory review: Seidio Innocell 3500mAh Extended Life Battery for HTC Evo 4G
The stock battery on the HTC EVO 4G leaves much to be desired, and many of us with an EVO 4G can’t go a whole day on one charge. The Seidio Innocell 3500mAh extended life battery just might be the solution. Checking in at a massive 3500mAh (more than double the capacity of the stock battery), this extended life battery by Seidio met and exceeded my expectations right from the get-go, which is good, as it’s priced at $64.95.
You’ll never read a review about the HTC EVO 4G that doesn’t mention its battery life. It’s a lot of phone, and it needs a lot of power. I’ve been using this battery exclusively since I got it last week, and to say I’m impressed with its performance is an understatement. Right from day one, I couldn’t believe how well it was holding up. I really want to break it down for you, so join me after the break for some pictures, additional thoughts, and most importantly — benchmark results.

T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Bluetooth swivel dock review
The myTouch 4G is T-Mobile’s top-of-the-line Android phone, so it was a given that you would want a great media docking and charging station for it. They delivered. True to its name, the dock swivels so you can use the device horizontally as well as vertically, and the Bluetooth connection when combined with the 3.5mm audio output from the dock itself make for the perfect desktop media center.
Usage is simple — slide your myTouch 4G into the dock, making sure that the micro USB connector is aligned, plug the dock into a power supply via its own micro USB connector, and go. The fit is good, and the non-slip surface on the inside of the recessed area makes sure that your myTouch 4G won’t slip out. It’s also designed to be used with the standard USB to micro USB cable and connect to your computer, making for easy syncing and charging at the same time, and any audio accessories that use a 3.5 mm jack can be connected for great sound.
The dock itself is well built, with a weighted non-slip base, and comes in a glossy black finish that looks great as long as you keep your fingerprints off of it. The swivel feature is actually pretty useful, as well. I went into it figuring it was a gimmick, but being able to have your phone horizontal to watch video or surf the web, and vertical to use for calling and messaging is handy after all. If you have a myTouch 4G, it’s something you should have a look at, and to me is well worth the investment. Hit the break for some more pictures.

Review: Seidio Innocell 1750 mAh battery for the Evo 4G
Let’s face it — Android phones use a lot of juice. They do a lot, and need a lot of power to do it, and the Evo 4G’s big screen doesn’t help matters. This makes a spare battery almost a must if you’re on the go a lot. That’s where the Seidio Innocell 1750 mAh battery comes in to the picture. While some folks prefer a much larger capacity battery, others (like myself) prefer something that uses the stock battery door, and fits into other accessories without any issue. An extra 250 milliampere-hours may not sound like a lot (the stock Evo battery is rated at 1500 mAh), but I’ve found it extends my usage by several hours. And I actually use my unlimited minutes, making several hours worth of calls daily.
Construction-wise, the Seidio Innocell 1750 is identical to the stock battery — minus the color. My inner child would love to see it in red, but how often do we really see the battery? As you can see in the pictures (after the break) the Innocell is the same dimensions as the stock battery, and fits perfectly with the OEM battery cover. I know many of us carry a spare battery and swap mid-day, and the Innocell is perfect for this. It fits as you would expect, and offers a bit of extra oompf to make sure you’re still up and running when you get to a charger.
If you use your Evo as intended, syncing mail and social networks, taking pictures, or playing games, you need to consider this one. You can grab the Seidio Innocell 1750 mAh battery from the Android Central store for $44.95. More pictures after the break.

Evo 4G accessory review: Powermat wireless charger
Powermat’s wireless charging system has been around for quite some time, but it’s relatively new for the Evo 4G. The premise is simple: You replace the stock battery cover on the phone with Powermat’s cover, which also plugs into the phone’s microUSB port. The phone then rests on a charging mat, which in turn is plugged into an outlet. So all you have to do is pick up the phone and go, no messing about with plugging in cables.
Sounds simple. And it should be. But it’s kind of not. The charging mats are pretty finicky about where you place the phone. And the little dongle that plugs into the phone’s microUSB port popped off of our battery door, which means it’ll get lost any minute now.
It’s not a bad idea, really — a semi-universal wireless charging system. But unless you really have to have wireless charging, the kinks might be a bit much for you. You’ll see what we mean in the video after the break. More Powermat for the Evo 4G in the Android Central Store

Evo 4G accessory review: Mobi Products charging cradle with spare charger
If you’re currently thinking about buying an external wall charger for your spare Evo battery, an extra USB charging/sync cable, or some sort of charging/media dock for your Evo 4G, then the Mobi Products Charging Cradle with Spare Battery Charger might be a better investment, simply because you get all three of these in one unit.
If you’re anything like me, the last surface you want to rest your shiny new smartphone on is a hard, unforgiving desktop; peppered with scratch-happy microscopic dirt and debris that are going to do nothing but reak havoc on your device’s nice clean finish. I avoid setting my Evo down on tables and countertops at all cost. If I’ve got to, I make sure to give it a good once over with my hand, and then set it down very gently. Although the Evo comes with a built-in kickstand, it’s not quite sturdy enough for my liking, but that’s not to say I don’t use it, because I do, and rather frequently. But for my money, nothing beats a nice sturdy charging cradle, complete with USB sync capabilities, and a spare battery charging slot.
Check out some more pictures and get my thoughts on this unit after the break.

Evo 4G accessory review: Seidio Innotraveler car kit
We all love using Google Maps’ turn-by-turn navigation on our Android phones, but it’s so much better with the right car dock. Enter the Seidio Innotraveler car kit for the Evo 4G. The dock is easy to use, infinitely adjustable, and is designed to work with two of Seidio’s other very popular accessories — the Seidio Innocase II, and the 3500 mAh extended battery.
The dock comes with a mini USB DC car adapter, and has a separate DC out for charging other accessories while driving. It’s very well built, has a huge suction cup, and will keep your Evo 4G safe and at your fingertips. You can get the Seidio Innotraveler car kit in the Android Central store for $49.95. Check out the features, and the pictures after the break.

Droid X dock review: Motorola Multimedia Desktop Charger
The Motorola Droid X is a a looker to be sure. And to properly show it off on your desk or bedside table, you’re going to want to check out the Motorola Multimedia Desktop Charger. But it’s more than just a way to keep your Droid X charged.
The Motorola Multimedia Desktop Charger also will serve up high-definition video from your Droid X to your television, via a port in the rear of the charger. You’ll have to provide your own HDMI cable, though. But it does come with a lengthy microUSB charger, so you’ll have no problem keeping your phone juiced.
The dock itself is a matte black plastic. There’s a large, metal bar that extends about halfway up the rear of the phone, to keep it from falling out and damaging the microUSB and HDMI ports. It also has a magnet that senses the Droid X nearby and launches the multimedia desktop mode (more on that in a second). The bottom of the dock is made of a nonstick rubber, so it won’t go sliding around your desk.
The Droid X sits sideways and automatically switch into a special multimedia desktop mode when inserted. You get a big clock with the date, weather info, plus easy access to alarm settings, a dimmer button, and music and photo icons.
The Motorola Multimedia Desktop Charger for Droid X is available now in the Android Central Store for $39.95. We’ve got more pictures of it in action after the break.

Android Accessory Review: HTC A/V Cable for Droid Incredible [video]
The HTC AV Cable for Droid Incredible is a quick and easy way to display content from your phone onto a TV. The cable plugs into the DInc‘s microUSB slot on one end and has composite video plugs on the other (sorry, no HD here). The cable offers true mirroring, so anything displayed on your phone shows up on the TV. The plug itself is pretty small, and I had no issues with using it even though I have a case on my phone, but your mileage may vary. Join me past the break as I take a closer look, and be sure to check out the video demonstration and extra pictures!

Droid Incredible Extended Battery Review: Seidio Innocell 1750mAh
Being a heavy Droid Incredible user, I grew sick of the ever-dying stock 1300mAh battery from HTC. Some days, while using the stock battery, I would barely make it through lunchtime. Nothing is worse than trying to get through the day and to have that low life battery icon pop up. If you’re looking for a battery to get you through the day, and don’t want to sacrifice the slim design by buying the bulkier extended batteries — this Seidio Innocell 1750mAh Extended Battery is for you.
Right away, the only difference you will notice in the design of the battery, is the black finish, and the 1750mAh branding. Otherwise, it’s exactly the same size as the stock 1300mAh from HTC. Even though this battery carries a longer battery life, there is no difference in weight or thickness. There is absolutely no need for a new battery door or case — this battery fits within HTC’s original design. My only complaint in terms of aesthetics, is Seidio’s choice of color. I wish they kept in line with HTC’s firetruck red. But then again, when are you walking around with the battery exposed?
Jumping into the numbers — the real meat of this review — the 1750mAh battery will last the whole day through. On a daily basis, I was able to get a full 12 hours in before I found myself reaching for my power cable. In contrast, the stock 1300mAh battery would only last about five hours on moderate use.
For somebody like myself, who always is 3G connected, and has constant running sync services for Gmail, Twitter, and Facebook — this battery is for you. Having the longer battery life, without having to choose a bulkier extended battery, is an option most welcomed. Head on over into the Android Central Store, and scoop the Seidio Innocell 1750mAh Extended Battery for $49.95. More photos after the break.
