Nikon adds Coolpix S9300, S6300, S4300 and S3300 to point-and-shoot lineup

It’s not been all that long since Nikon last augmented its Coolpix S-series , and now the camera maker’s at it again, adding another four to the point-and-shoot range. Starting at the bottom end is the S3300, which definitely keeps things simple: 16 megapixels, 6x zoom, 19 picture modes and 720p is what you’ll get for the $140 asking price. An extra $30 lands you the S4300, which adds touchscreen control

Supreme Court says police must get search warrant to use GPS tracking devices

The US Supreme Court ruled today that police must first obtain a search warrant before using GPS devices to track a suspect’s vehicle, agreeing with an earlier appeals court ruling but rejecting the Obama administration’s position on the case.

We love Recon’s MOD system for Ski-goggles, especially now that it’s open to developers . Starting soon, an avalanche of new winter-sports enthusiasts will be able to wear the multi-sensor based statistics system atop their eyeballs, thanks to a new partnership with both Scott and Smith . The GPS touting in-goggle display will be unveiled in the new family of eyeware at a slew of outdoor sports events this month.

GoBandit WiFi helmet cam hands-on

Extreme sports junkies are no strangers to the vast selection of helmet cams just waiting for them to record their wicked shenanigans, so we were expecting to see nothing drastically new when we stopped by the GoBandit booth at CES 2012 . There was one thing, however, that stuck out to us as we played with the company’s top-tier model, the GoBandit Live : WiFi.

Sprint puts the brakes on LightSquared spectrum deal, waits for FCC thumbs up

It ain’t over ’till the fat lady sings and, in this case, she’s still taking a very deep breath. After granting potential partner LightSquared a 30-day extension to gain final FCC approval for its LTE spectrum, Sprint is now pulling back from the 15-year resource sharing agreement that would see it building out and utilizing LS’ plagued network
