Fujifilm X-Pro1 shows up on Amazon, $1700 price confirmed

Oh Amazon, why must you tease us so? Not content on leaking the Fujifilm X-Pro1′s lenses before the mirrorless ILC was even announced at CES , the retailer just confirmed the camera’s price. It appears you’ll have to plunk down a hefty $1700 to get your dirty little mitts on this high-end rangefinder-ish 16 megapixel APS-C shooter — and that’s just for the body

Pentax K-01 leaks, wants to be your retro-looking mirrorless friend

Above is a purported leak of Pentax’s upcoming K-01 — a retro-inspired mirrorless camera which is apparently set for reveal soon. Divulged in a bevy of official-looking shots on Pentax Forums , the diminutive shooter will apparently be available in several colors alongside its incredibly-thin 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens. Also shown are closeups of a dedicated HDR mode up-top, alongside dedicated red and green buttons, and a curious signature by designer Marc Newson adjacent to its battery cover

HTC Ville gets hands-on en Francais, is presumably practicing its Spanish for MWC (video)

While we’re still a few weeks away from annual phone festival, MWC, it’s these weeks in the run-up that often draw out blurrycam appetizers of what we’ll see over in Barcelona. This time, it’s no other than the HTC Edge Ville, that rumored divergent mix of quad-core processing bulk and slimline form-factor: something we don’t typically see the unibody-armored HTC family

LG Optimus L3 appears in Sweden, packs entry-level style

It’s not every day that we come across an entry-level Android smartphone from LG, especially one that packs this much style. The LG Optimus L3 (aka E400) recently popped up on Swedish retailer CDON’s website and appears to be slotted right below the Optimus Hub (successor to the highly popular Optimus One ). Specs include Android 2.3 ( Gingerbread ) with LG’s Optimus UI, a 3.2-inch QVGA (320×240 pixels, ouch) capacitive touchscreen, a three megapixel camera, dual-band (2100 / 900MHz) HSDPA 3.6Mbps and quadband EDGE connectivity, WiFi / Bluetooth / GPS / FM radios and a microSD card slot

Yup, it’s another crumb of information making its way from the decidedly leaky ship that is Sony Mobile Communications — as with all these, let’s keep our tinfoil helmets set to skeptical. This time it looks like we’ve got rumored pricing for the Xperia Ion handset we played with at CES . A pre-order page has appeared at Negri Electronics that offers the handset for $569.50 unlocked.

Sprint LG Viper gets full specification leak, doesn’t want to hurt Mother Earth

While our early hands-on with the LG Viper revealed a four-inch Nova display and an able 1.2GHz dual-core processor, the full breakdown has made its way to SprintFeed ‘s inbox. Some interesting features include a mention of eco-friendliness (no further details here, but expect recycled plastics), NFC capabilities and a substantial-sounding 1700mAh battery. We’re sulking about the inclusion of Gingerbread, at a time when every major manufacturer (including LG) has readied upgrade programs to ICS and the five-megapixel camera’s a drop down from LG’s other dual-core handsets
