More Nexus S Gingerbread pics and specs leak
An unnamed source has leaked pictures of the Nexus S running Gingerbread to XDA-Developers, and some rumored specs to go along with. There’s about half a dozen blurrycam shots (aren’t they always?) showing the software information, the UI, and the device itself — check the source link for the gallery.
The rumored specs are:
- ArmV7 CPU
- Open GL ES Supported
- ~328MB Ram
- 1GB Internal Memory
- 800×480 Screen Resolution
- 4″ Screen Size
- SuperAmoled2 – Possibly
- 720P HD Video
I certainly hope (and think) those specs will turn out not quite right, as they are a bit underwhelming. Hopefully Google or Samsung will give us some real information about this one soon. [XDA-Developers via Android and Me]

More leaked shots of the Verizon Merge/Lexikon [video]
What have we here? Why it’s more pictures of Verizon’s upcoming Merge/Lexikon, which apparently are being shopped around to several Android blogs. (Hi, other blogs!) Nothing too new here, as it’s all stuff we’ve already seen in our exclusive hands-on with the Merge, photo gallery, benchmark tests and comparison with the Droid 2. But new pics are always nice, so check ‘em out after the break, along with a video of the boot up sequence. (Submitted via the Android Central App)

Samsung Fascinate appears in Verizon system, accessories in tow
What’s that you say? How about a picture of Verizon’s internal system showing the Samsung Fascinate ready and waiting to make it’s way to your hot little hands. We still are pretty sure the release date will be September 9, and we know it’s already making its way into a few hands, so it makes sense that Big Red is getting things ready.
Oh yeah, there’s also a shot (after the break) of some accessories, including a 2200 mAh battery. That should keep you going for the best part of the day. Seven days my friends … seven days. Thanks to you-know-who!

Droid 2 pics and news leaked, August release seems imminent
It’s been another good couple of days for Droid 2 news and leaks, and we love those kinds of days. To start with, the above shot is a nice semi-non-blurrycam shot of the Droid 2 in all it’s qwerty beauty. This keyboard looks a lot better than the one on it’s older brother the OG Droid, let’s hope it works and feels as good as it looks. Add this to the official pics grabbed off the Droid Does site earlier, and we have a pretty good idea exactly what it’s going to look like.
Word is that the newest member of Verizon’s Droid lineup will ship in August, include an 8GB microSD card, and run $199 with contract and after rebate, or $599 outright. As with all leaked news and rumors, that very well could change so don’t hold us to it.
The news doesn’t stop there though. It seems a worker at a facility creating the phone’s packaging is an Android news fan as well. There’s a cool snap of the Droid 2′s boxes still on the assembly line, as well as one more full frontal shot after the break.
Need more? How about a shot of the Droid 2 reportedly running Android 2.2. Yes, it takes about 60 seconds to fake a build.prop file, but there’s no reason not to think that it will launch with Android 2.2. Check out all the pics after the break. [Engadget, Droid Life]

Droid 2 makes an appearance in a leaked Verizon summer catalog
Verizon’s summer 2010 catalog has been leaked out, and yes, that’s a picture of the upcoming Motorola Droid 2 you see above. Also included are the Droid X, the HTC Droid Incredible, and the LG Ally — phones we’re already familiar with. What’s glaringly absent is the Samsung Fascinate, but don’t read too much into that just yet. Listed specs for the Droid 2 are pretty much what was already speculated — 512MB RAM/8 GB ROM, 1 GHz processor, EVDO rev A, 5 megapixel camera, and an 8GB microSD card included. Listed as ‘coming soon’ there’s no clue about release dates unfortunately. Hit the jump for another pic of interest to us Android fans, and you can find the full catalog at the source link. [BGR]
