Fujifilm X-Pro1 shows up on Amazon, confirms $1700 price (update)

Oh Amazon, why must you tease us so? Not content on leaking the Fujifilm X-Pro1′s lenses before the mirrorless ILC was even announced at CES , the retailer just confirmed the camera’s price. It appears you’ll have to plunk down a hefty $1700 to get your dirty little mitts on this high-end rangefinder-ish 16 megapixel APS-C shooter — and that’s just for the body.

Intel-powered Windows 8 tablets to struggle for sub-$600 pricing?

Microsoft has a big battle ahead to overcome the overwhelming popularity of the iPad on the tablet computing front, and its Intel-powered slates might be starting at a distinct disadvantage if a DigiTimes report is to be believed. The site indicates that neither Intel nor Microsoft are willing to cut their prices to help manufacturers, the former providing the Clover Trail hardware and the latter the Windows 8 software, which could see these machines starting at $599 and going way up from there.

Tesla confirms Model S pricing and options: $49,900 and up after tax credits

Tesla Motors has talked a fair bit about pricing for its Model S sedan over the past couple of years, but it’s now finally set things in stone. US pricing for the base model will start at $49,900, although that’s only after you factor in the $7,500 federal tax credit. As Tesla notes, that’s the very same pricing that the company first promised way back when the car was unveiled in 2009, but it does come with a few trade-offs (more on that later).

Samsung Captivate Glide, Doubletime and Pantech Pocket join AT&T’s Android brigade on November 20th

Two flavors of TouchWiz and an oddly-dimensioned handset are making their way to AT&T’s lineup come next week. Sammy’s QWERTY duo, the Tegra 2-powered Captivate Glide and Froyo-based Doubletime, along with Pantech’s uniquely formed Pocket will make their US carrier debut on November 20th, offering a little bit of everything for Joe Consumer. There’s no official word on the contracted pricing for this Android trio, but you shouldn’t have to wait much longer for that essential bit of info.

Update: And just like that, official pricing for AT&T’s latest trio has arrived. If you’re curious, both the Pocket and Doubletime will retail for $50, while Sammy’s Captivate Glide will set you back a solid $150. Naturally, each of these figures assume you’ll sign a new contract. If you’re of the skeptical type, just hop the break for confirmation.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus listed in Costco’s systems with a $289 price tag

If you’re still thirsty for any release details of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Nexus, allow yourself to be ever-so-lightly-moistened by this Costco inventory screenshot from Android Central. It shows the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon priced at $289, a slim $10 discount on the $299 we’d heard in a leak a few weeks ago (that also predicted the price of the HTC Rezound, if you’re keeping score). There never was much doubt this Ice Cream Sandwich would be a pricey one, but it’s definitely one thing to consider while we await official news on its release and seemingly-inevitable Verizon exclusivity.
