We already know that Android users are more promiscuous than all the other mobile OS user out there and what better way to help you seal the deal on Valentine’s Day than getting your special someone a brand spankin’ new Android device? Verizon and Redbox announce video rental and streaming service to launch later this year

An announcement that Verizon and Redbox will team up to offer consumers a streaming media and Blu-ray/DVD rental service hasn’t done much to expound upon details first rumored last year . The new content distribution service will focus on the power of Verizon’s network, an element of support lacking from Netflix, the media provider the two companies are looking to challenge head-on. What isn’t clear is whether or not the service will be available to those not subscribed to Verizon services, and  which of those Verizon services will be covered

A number of sites have reported a partial rollout of an OTA for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus users, this morning. Android Central seems to be the first one. They have also included a file, along with some instructions for manually flashing this update.

[UPDATE: Google responds] Verizon Galaxy Nexus, other CDMA devices, no longer listed with Google developer support

UPDATE:  The Android Team’s Dan Morrill has posted an explanation for the removal of the Galaxy Nexus and other CDMA devices from the official developer support page. This has nothing to do with Google Wallet (we never thought it did) and everything to do with the way the Android code is compiled for CDMA devices.
